Saleh Bay is a semi-enclosed area of water in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province that enriched by fisheries resources. The bay’s strategic position, surrounded several small islands, makes it an fertile water. An considered potentially ideal fishing ground if contains oceanographic phenomena, including thermal fronts and upwelling. Fishing activities have been found to be ineffective inefficient due local people’s continued use traditional methods such as signs nature (instincts), wind direction, astrological previous experience. This study aimed create mapping model the grounds based on remote sensing satellite data. Spatial analysis daily level 3 images from Suomi-National Polar-Orbiting Partnership (SNPP) was conducted throughout January August 2019. image acquisition period adapted seasonal system Indonesia. determined front events identified sea surface temperature (SST) data analysed using statistical regression with Non-Linear Multi-Channel SST (NLSST) approach. characterised settings upwelling occurrence. average distribution 2019 relatively high, ranging 30.39 33.70 oC, while 2019, declined significantly, 25.09 29.30 oC.
